A student visa is a document that is given to a student who has registered at a foreign institution and has a confirmed place to study for a period of time.

Type of visa, a student needs?

The exact type and name of the visa you need will vary from country to country. And it is likely that a student who intends to study abroad will need a non-immigrant student or study visa.

This basically means that you stay in that country to study for a temporary /set period of time and do not take up permanent residency.

To find the exact type of visa you need the application form, go to the embassy and consulate of your study abroad destination in your hometown ( this must be legal where you live and your nationality )

How do you apply?

Before applying for a visa, you need confirmed documents of the university program that you are applying for, as proof.

You must clarify from the university or college for which visa you must apply and ask them to send you the necessary documents.

Once the applied university has informed you about the required visa, you need to apply for the student visa.

Applications can be submitted in a number of ways, by post/courier, in person, or online. You need to be sure about it. You need to make sure by visiting the embassy or asking your host country embassy or searching their website.

A visa is not valid if wrong information has been given or important documents were not submitted.

How long will it take to get your visa?

Visa processing can take a couple of days to several months depending on the country and your nationality.

1. USA Study Abroad Visa

A study permit is a document issued by the Canadian immigration authorities that serves as permission for foreign students to study in Canada. 

3. Germany Study Abroad Visa 

Student applicant visa for Germany- This is a type of visa available to some students that can be used to travel to Germany while searching for a university program to enroll in.

It provides you with a three-month stay while applying for the admissions process and can be extended if required.

4. UK Study Abroad Visa 

.UK student dependent visa- Rules for dependents to the UK to live with you are strict, and as a student, it is unlikely you will be eligible unless your course is full-time, at a postgraduate level, and for nine months or more.

5. Australia Study Abroad Visa

Australian student visa (subclass 500)– If you have chosen a program in an Australian university, then you must apply for an Australian student visa. If you’re a full-time student, you will need a Subclass 500 visa.
